Book your visit to our historic Church
It is a privilege to welcome schools to Eyam Church and we hope your visit is both educational and enjoyable. All school parties must book with us in advance and you will find the booking form at the bottom of this page.
We have three options for your visit:
a self-guided tour (30 minutes, £1.00 per child)
a guided tour plus an interactive talk ( 1 hour, £1.50 per child)
a guided tour plus a take-home DVD (1 hour, £1.50 per child).
Teachers and adults accompanying school parties are free.
Please use the booking form to make your visit arrangements.
If you want to discuss these options in more detail please contact the church office and we will be pleased to help you.
You can also hire the Church Centre next to the Church for your lunch time break at £25 per hour.

All school parties MUST be booked in advance. Our opening times are:
WINTER (October to Easter)
Church opening times – 9am to 4pm (closed in adverse weather)SUMMER (Easter to the end of September) 9am to 6pm
There is usually a Steward on duty in Summer to help with your visit. -
Do we have to book or can we visit the church or graveyard free of charge without booking?
School parties are very welcome but you MUST book in advance to access both the historic graveyard and church. We receive many visitors throughout the year and bookings enable us to follow health and safety regulations, and manage visitor numbers especially in busier months. Please contact us using the booking form below.
How do I find Eyam Church and is there parking?
Please find a map below for directions to Eyam Church. There is on-street parking for cars, limited parking at the Church Centre (narrow access unsuitable for coaches) and an additional car and coach park on Hawkhill Road, a 5-minute walk from the Church.
Is there accessible access to Eyam Church?
Yes, Eyam Church is accessible. Please enter the churchyard via the central path, right-hand side gate or from the Church Centre. If you need help with the steps into Church we have ramps in the porch.
Can we eat and drink in the Church?
No, food and drink may not be consumed in the Church building. However, we have many cafes in our village and offer hire of the Church Centre for £25 per hour if you would like somewhere to eat and drink as part of your visit.
I can’t get in - is the Church locked?
Please see above for our opening times when the Church will be open for you. The main Church door can be stiff so please twist the door handle to the right and push.Can I ask for assistance during our visit?
