Welcome to our friendly church community
in the Peak District National Park
“We received an amazing welcome from friendly, happy people who quickly introduced themselves to us.
The music and church service were full of spirituality and praise which was very encouraging…I quickly knew that this active, Christian community was going to become part of my life.”

9am Sunday Service
‘Early Church’ happens in the Church Centre on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month except August. It starts with breakfast followed by fun activities around a theme, which can involve getting quite messy and laughing a lot, and leads on to prayer and worship.
Early Church is mainly designed for families of all ages from newborns to teens, but we also love the contribution of other adults.
Whether you’re used to church or have never been before, come along and you’ll find a great welcome, make new friends and discover more about the Christian faith.
Everyone is invited. You can just turn up.

Sunday Worship
We hold regular services every Sunday at 11am and on every 2nd & 4th Sunday, we host an evening worship at 6pm (3pm in the winter months). Our 11am services are also streamed online and available to view afterwards on our Facebook page, for those who are not able to attend in person.
All services are followed by refreshments and a chance to catch up informally with your fellow worshippers, or receive prayer ministry from our prayer team.
You are welcome to contact the church office in advance of attending your first service with us; however this is not essential and you will be warmly welcomed regardless!

Open Doors
Open Doors began with the desire to provide a warm space, companionship and a hot meal for people of all ages who may live alone or benefit from a friendly and welcoming environment open to Christians and non-Christians alike.
Starting with Coffee Morning at 11.00am on Fridays in the Church Centre, you can stay for lunch from 12.30pm and on into the afternoon for tea and biscuits, company and games, wrapping up at about 4.00pm.
The event is free, however donations towards its running are very welcome.
Please call the Church Office or email Nick Read if you have any questions before attending Open Doors. There is no need to book in advance, simply turn up. Parking is available on-site and the Church Centre is fully accessible.

Bible Course from The Bible Society
We believe the Bible is inspired by God; it shows us His plan of salvation and how He wants us to live. We therefore want to help everyone understand it for themselves more and more deeply. Sometimes it can appear to be a confusing book, so we try to run the Bible Course (prepared by the Bible Society) on a regular basis. The bible’s “big story” and how it all fits together are explained over eight weeks. In each session there are videos, times for group discussion and personal reflection. The course handbook also has suggested daily bible readings to help everyone prepare for the next week’s teaching. The course is designed to be accessible to new Christians as well as to those who have been walking with Jesus for a long time.
Our next course starts (with coffee and cake of course!) on Sunday 11th May at 7.00 p.m. in our Church Centre (just to the right of our Church building on the main street in Eyam). It runs for eight weeks, omitting the Bank Holiday weekend (25th May) so will finish on Sunday 6th July.
Everyone is warmly invited. If you would like to come please contact us through admin@eyamchurch.org

Gatherings to Welcome Newcomers
We have new people joining our church frequently, and a very active calendar of events that we love to welcome newcomers to.
To help you feel at home at our church, we have periodic gatherings to welcome you and introduce some of the people who have key roles within our fellowship.
Look out for notices about when the next such gathering is - these typically include coffee and biscuits!
